Scientific Research |

Harvard Medical School conducted a survey which was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1998 (280:1569-1575) that states:
" The total visits to CAM (complementary and alternative) providers, 629 million, exceeded total visits to all primary care physicians, 386 million, in 1997."
At the time there was little scientific research available that could help physicians to form an opinion. But the need was made obvious.
Seven years later a flood of scientific research into CAM is available for physicians.
When I say "Scientific Research" I refer to modern science which is a Quantitative Science.
Quantitative Science is entirely based on data obtained by "objective measuring devices" that measure forces. This kind of science forms our view of the world.
Quantitative science cannot measure awareness, what we experience or sense, hence our sensations, qualities and metacognition, our relation and interaction with nature are declared to be "non-scientific" and irrelevant.
Quantitative science blindly insists that all things in nature can be reduced to a force measurable by sense-substituting instruments and interpreted by thought-substituting statistics.
Quantitative science is the product of degenerated minds that alienates us from nature.
Who is to say that this kind of science, or junk science to be more precise, should form our worldview and have preference over and substitute Qualitative Science?
Qualitative science studies Nature, its language, its meanings, the realities of experiences and sensations, all embracing consciousness. Measurements that do not measure what is relevant have no place in science.
Whose philosophical contentions decided that the limitations of instruments could do a better job than human thought?
One should keep this in mind when examining Quantitative Scientific Evidence for healing modalities, and in particular when examining healing modalities for which such evidence does not exist.

18. Drug interactions and adverse side effects contribute to 2,000 Americans´ death each week. Vioxx recall and other incidents have shown that monitoring drugs after they are approved in the market, a.k.a. post-marketing drug surveillance is still ineffective. This is mainly due to lack of information. eHealthMe is created to meet the demand for comprehensive, accessible and updated post-marketing information.
We use proprietary algorithms to continuously analyze large amounts of data from FDA and other sources. The results are readily available to health care professionals and consumers. In eHealthMe, we believe that collaboratively we can transform our health care system to be more transparent, safer, and less expensive.
