Frequently Asked Questions |

Q: How do I get a free listing? |
A: go to Free listing |
Q: I don't have a website - can I get listed ? |
A: Yes, it's sufficient to have an email address. Your listing text should include your location and a description that inspires visitors to contact you.
The more information you provide the greater the chances are that a visitor will contact you.
Having a website will drastically improve the performance of your listing - and it costs much less than what you may think.
Select 'Services' from the menu bar. |
Q: Can I be listed under more than one category? |
A: go to Free listing. |
Q: Can I make a contribution to your newsletter? |
A: The editors of our newsletter are investigative journalists who deal with serious issues affecting the health of mankind.
Expect our first issue soon. We'll publish information about anti-bio-tics and counterfeit drugs that you can't read elsewhere.
We welcome new members to the editorial team. |
Q: Why has the forum gone? |
A: It's a pity - we had several thousand viewers. The daily removal of spam, however, is too much for any editor. |
Q: Do you accept advertising? |
A: We accept banners throughout all categories from medicine related sources only.
Our newsletter offers sponsorship opportunities, please contact us for details. |
Q: Why should I get listed? |
A: A US based chiropractor recently argued that he provides a local service only and gets his clients from local advertising and word of mouth - no need to be featured in an international directory!
This is certainly a valid argument and applies to 8% of the population. (much less in other countries). The remaining 92%, however, may have their first encounter with chiropractic when visiting infoholix.
The average visitor lands at a popular category page - then starts looking around, visiting 3 more pages before he clicks on a listing. |
Q: My listing has disappeared - why? |
A: Your website may have been down, or your email produced a mailer demon. When we receive a complaint or the category editor finds a fault then we ask you to confirm your listing. If you don't respond your listing is made 'inactive'; it remains in our database but is no longer displayed in the directory. You can reactivate by sending us an email. |
Q: Would you like to be a Category Editor? |
A: Our CEs are volunteers who research and invite suitable listings. Listings are by invitation and/or online application only. Many applications require considerable editorial skills.
There are many more categories to be created and edited by CEs whose motivation comes from wanting to help to build a comprehensive resource for complementary medicine of global interest.

Q: Should I link back? |
A: Many search engines value a reciprocated link higher than a one-directional link.
Reciprocating helps your website to get ranked and it helps infoholix - a visitor for infoholix is a visitor for you. |
