Breast Cancer early detection method
  On the 5th of March 2007 a patent (PC/AT2007/00161) was obtained in Italy
by Paolo Ottier, a Roman entrepreneur, humanitarian and inventor.

The title of the invention reads: Glove for Diagnostic Palpation.

Based on this invention Paolos high tech company produces the Donna Glove, a class one medical device that enables every
woman to self-examine her breasts for lumps.

Lumps as small as the size of a sugar grain can be detected which is not possible with the bare hand. Such a small lump is hardly detected by mammography.

Donna Glove is based on the scientific principle of locking and enlarging.
The magnified palpation effect and reduced friction of the Donna Glove allow a smooth movement that stops lumps from moving while pressing on the breast. The sensitivity is about fifty times higher than that of the bare hand.

A clinical
trial conducted at the University Tor Vergata in Rome proved 100% efficacy. All women who had a recurrence of lumps detected those with Donna Glove, while the control group detected below 50% with manual palpation.

Donna Glove has obtained the CE-mark.
This permits clinical use in the European Union.

Early detection of breast cancer is often restricted through the costs of
mammography and MRI and its availability in countries of the third world.
Donna Glove eliminates these restrictions and provides the additional advantage of more frequent examinations in the privacy of your own home.

There is also a psychological barrier, many women are afraid of detecting a lump that could turn out to be cancer. Many believe breast cancer to be a death sentence or requiring treatment with many side-effects.
The truth is far from it, breast cancer is curable without side-effects,
without chemotherapy or radiation.
