Craniosacral therapy
About 100 years the osteopath Dr William Garner Sutherland discovered the presence of a subtle rhythmic motion in the body.
All healthy, living tissues subtly breathe with the motion of life, producing rhythmic impulses which can be palpated by sensitive hands.
Dr Sutherland established that this motion is produced by the body's inherent life force, which he called the Breath of Life.
The motion of cranial bones is closely connected to an integrated network of tissues and fluids at the core of the body that includes the motion of cerebrospinal fluid, the brain and spinal cord, the membranes surrounding the central nervous system and the sacrum.
The Breath of Life creates rhythmic motions in the body. The ability of tissues to express their natural rhythmic motion is a decisive factor in determining their state of health.
Based on this fundamental knowledge Dr Sutherland created his therapy.

United States 36. Spiritual/Physical Healing is a concept of thinking of the body as one whole body: mind, body and spirit. We believe the human body is intended to be born in perfect balance. If the physical, mental, or spiritual body is out of balance, it can affect any other part of the whole, especially parts in the body where stress is held. Wherever it is held, it causes muscle pain, anxiety, and added stress. Most restrictions caused by trauma involve tightening of the connective and soft tissues throughout the entire musculoskeletal system. This program addresses and releases the blockages that cause physical and emotional distress. Annapolis, MD & Staunton, VA

Singapore 42. CranialSacral Therapy works by helping the body´s natural healing mechanisms dissipate the negative effects of stress on the central nervous system. Using a touch generally no heavier than the weight of a nickel, skilled practitioners can monitor this rhythm at key body points to pinpoint the source of an obstruction or stress. Once a source has been determined, they can assist the natural movement of the fluid and related soft tissue to help the body self-correct.
